D-Day Jeep: From Normandy back to America, an 80-year journey

Our car transport specialists accompanied the journey of this Jeep back to the United States, 80 years after it landed in Normandy!

It first landed by sea, and it has now returned by sea! This authentic WW2 Jeep had remained in France since the Normandy landings 80 years ago. Abandoned in a barn, then fully restored by a collector, it was featured in Christophe Cocherie’s documentary Operation Homecoming, before taking part in the ceremonies marking the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings.

Mission accomplished, it was time to go home! It takes specialists in the transportation of exceptional vehicles to handle the chocking, pre-carriage, transport by sea from Le Havre to New York, and customs clearance at destination… Having arrived in Minnesota, it is now on display at the Herreid Military Museum in Luverne.
