MATHEZ FREIGHT is a family-owned group, initially based in Nice that offers both logistics solutions and Customs & VAT compliance services. Two of the group’s main agencies are based in La Ciotat and Saint Mandrier. These focus mainly on the activities surrounding yachting, in direct contact with local refit shipyards like MB 92, Monaco Marine or IMS.
Logistics and customs formalities
Under the supervision of customs broker Alain Rigaud, these agencies support shipyards in their relationship with the customs and tax authorities. As an intermediary, they take care of all the required formalities with regards to the different tax and customs regimes that yachts are subject to depending on their flag.
In particular, these formalities include ship’s spare parts upon arrival at or departure from the shipyard.
We complete the required formalities in line with the customs and tax situation of the yacht: total or partial exonerations of VAT or discharge if necessary.
